The Kodak Easyshare C140 is an 8 megapixel digital camera with a 3x optical zoom lens. Kodak has placed the emphasis fairly and squarely on ease of use with this camera. In terms of features there is a 2.4 inch LCD screen for composing and reviewing photos. There is also a basic macro mode. The first thing I noticed when I got it out of the box was that it was loaded with extras. It came with a carrying strap, software, USB cord, and even a nice little pouch. I purchased a nice large SD memory card to go with the camera, as the internal memory was virtually nonexistent at the resolution that I intended to shoot. The camera also came with a pair of rechargeable batteries that were charged and ready out of the box.For good measure, Kodak threw in a battery charger for future use. |

A washing machine that cuts water usage by 90% is due to hit American shores next year. The Xeros washing machine, which takes its name from the Greek word for “dry”, cleans clothes using reusable nylon polymer beads with an inherent polarity that attracts stains. The beads are added to the wash along with as little as a cup of water and a drop of detergent. After the water dissolves the stains, the beads, which become absorbent under humid conditions, soak up the water along with the dirt. The dirt is not just attracted to the surface, but is absorbed into the center of the beads. |

That is what team over at a Boston-based company is saying about their vehicle,The Transition. The two-seater vehicle can let you fly if you wish to avoid the congested city traffic. If you want to drive on the road, just touch the road. The vehicle will fold up its wings in 30 seconds and transform itself into a car. "The Flying Car" can travel up to 725 kilometres in the air at a speed of more than 115 kilometres per hour. Fuelled by gasoline, it has front wheel drive on the road and a propeller for flight. With its wings folded, it can be parked in your ordinary car garage. |

Now in its third generation, the iPhone handset has made improvements with each successive model. This year, though, the improvements are less about what you see and more about what's packed under the chassis--and what's available in the iPhone OS 3.0 software update (accessible to current iPhone owners and on new iPhone 3G S units). That's not to say that the iPhone 3G S isn't good. In fact, this new model is among the best handsets on the market today. Still, the 3G S's combination of hardware and software continues to miss the mark in a few critical areas, and these deficiencies prevent the iPhone from leaping far ahead the competition. You might think that there couldn?t be much to add to a phone that even has an electronic compass. But we?ve put together a list of five things that Apple left out. |
