Fiat India Automotive the joint venture between Italian car major Fiat SpA and Tata Motors on Friday June17 launched 'Grande Punto' here, its latest offering in the premium hatchback segment.On the occasion, Tata Motors Country Head (Fiat product group) Subodh Marathe said that the car will be manufactured at the company's Ranjangaon plant near Pune.He said that the car will be available in the country with two petrol engines and one diesel."The Tata Fiat dealer network will ensure easy availability of the car and prompt after sales service to its owners," he stressed.He said that the company had over 100 points of sales and service outlets.About 1.6 million units of Grande Punto have been sold so far globally.He said that the car will be available in three versions knwon as Active, Dynamic and Emotion.
