Bose Introduces New Lifestyle® V-Class Home Theatre Systems

Lifestyle® V-Class systems integrate easily with high-definition televisions and components such as DVD players, cable/satellite boxes, DVRs, MP3 players and gaming consoles. They combine the audio quality and technology of Bose® all-in-one Lifestyle® systems with the option of adding and changing entertainment sources as new technologies emerge.

Lifestyle® V30 and V20 Systems: The Basics
Each system delivers premium 5.1 surround sound for movies, music, sports and video games. They include five small speaker arrays, a hideaway media console, an Acoustimass® module, radio frequency remote and a standalone display. All audio and video sources connect to the media console, which can be hidden away in a cabinet or closet. The included radio frequency remote can control connected sources, reducing clutter and eliminating the need for more than one remote.

Multiple digital and analog inputs allow for connection to both standard and high-definition sources. Two inputs can be used for simple HDMI connections. Additionally, the Lifestyle® V30 and V20 systems automatically upscale video to the highest resolution the connected television can accept -- up to 1080p over HDMI -– making it possible for users to get the most out of their high-definition televisions with less equipment and fewer wires.

Lifestyle® V-Class systems are designed to blend into a room’s décor. The Lifestyle® V30 includes five award-winning Jewel Cube® speaker arrays, which deliver performance rivaling many larger speakers. The Lifestyle® V20 system includes five Direct/Reflecting® cube speaker arrays. Each system features a horizontal center channel speaker array, which helps to provide clear, focused dialogue and balanced surround sound.

The systems’ speakers work together with an Acoustimass® module that delivers low frequencies while minimizing audible distortion. All the sound appears to come from the tiny cube speakers. This Bose technology allows the Acoustimass module to be placed almost anywhere in the listening area.

Advanced Bose Technologies in the Lifestyle® V-Class Systems
Lifestyle® V30 and V20 systems include the ADAPTiQ® audio calibration system, a proprietary Bose innovation that analyzes and automatically adjusts the system’s sound to a user’s particular room, speaker location, furniture placement, even listener location -- factors that can impact any sound system’s performance. The ADAPTiQ system compensates for these variables so that the Lifestyle® V-Class system delivers superb performance.

The Bose link expansion feature can extend the music benefits of each V-Class system to 14 additional rooms. With Bose link, a movie can be playing in the main room while music fills the kitchen or even the outdoors. Bose offers a variety of multi-room expansion options compatible with Bose link.

Both Lifestyle® V-Class systems feature Videostage®5 decoding circuitry, which provides a surround sound experience even from stereo and mono formats such as videotapes, stereo CDs or older TV programs. Advanced post-processing techniques automatically deliver a clear, on-screen audio center image and balanced surround sound, similar to that of a 5.1-encoded DVD.
