Nokia launched its DVB-H enabled handset — N77. The phone follows the company’s other DVB-H enabled phone N92, launched in June. N77 allows the users to set reminders for a particular programme and have alerts for the show timings. Through the programme guide in the mobile TV application, users can view programme information of up to next seven days, browse TV channels and select the TV programme they are interested in viewing.
N77 features include 2GB memory, integrated stereo speakers, storage of up to 1500 music tracks, e-mail, calendar, to-do lists, 2 megapixel camera and an integrated MP3 player web browsing.
N77 runs on a S60 3rd Edition Symbian OS and comes with a document viewer and a stereo FM radio. N77 supports Live TV broadcast; offers eight free-to-air Doordarshan channels, including DD National, DD News, DD Sports, DD Bharati, DD Urdu, DD Punjabi, DD Bangla and DD Podhigai in Delhi. There are plans to extend the service to other metros in the country, as also offer other TV channels on the N77.
